teamLab SuperNature Macao, an immersive interactive experience, will soft open June 15 at The Venetian® Macao, featuring never-before-seen, cutting-edge art installations in a massive, three-dimensional space.
teamLab SuperNature Macao represents one of Sands China Ltd.’s largest investment in non-gaming attractions. It is a permanent exhibition at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo. At over 5,000 square metres of labyrinthine floor space and with impressive eight-metre high ceilings, the monumental ‘body immersive’ interactive complex offers an amazing experience for families and visitors of all ages. The space has been transformed by teamLab into a complex, three-dimensional world with varying elevations filled with deeply immersive artworks.
Previous teamLab exhibitions have been included on Time Magazine’s “The World's 100 Greatest Places of 2019” list, and awarded “Top 10 Art Exhibitions” for 2015 – 2018 by designboom.
teamLab SuperNature Macao offers one of the largest areas of any teamLab exhibition, with a wide variety of artworks as well as learning and experiential activities for children of all ages, which will be particularly valuable over the long summer break.
Highlights include intriguing, constantly-changing artworks such as Valley of Flowers and People: Lost, Immersed and Reborn and Inverted Globe Graffiti Nature – Red List. These remarkable installations allow visitors to explore new perceptions of the world and the relationship between humans and nature, empowering them to immerse their bodies in the artworks with others, influencing and becoming a part of them.
The previously unreleased laser-based works entitled Light Sculpture – Plane Series will premiere as part of teamLab SuperNature Macao. Comprised of 11 separate ‘shows’, laser beams are used to create bewitching light planes. Visitors will find themselves immersed in complex three-dimensional objects that reconstruct space in real time.
The new destination also incorporates dynamic and immersive ‘Future Park’ and ‘Athletics Forest’ areas. Future Park is an educational project based on the concept of collaborative creation, or co-creation, where visitors can enjoy creating the world freely with others.
Meanwhile Athletics Forest is a new ‘creative athletic space’ that helps train spatial awareness. It develops the body as well as the brain based on the concept of understanding the three-dimensionality of the world through the human form.
A visionary concept that blurs the perception of traditional boundaries through synergistic interaction, teamLab SuperNature Macao represents an unmissable opportunity to gain a higher understanding of the continuity between the self and the world.
