Located in the top floor in Sofitel Macau, Le Chinois presents authentic Cantonese cuisine with French-inspired presentation. Executive Chef Mok Chee Wah and his talented team firmly emphasize on every single step of making a dish, from selection of advanced seasonal ingredients to master cooking methods. The highlighted delicate cuisines include Braised Beef Rib with Cantonese Sauce, Stir Fried Scallop and Morrison Bacteria Fungus with XO Chili Sauce, Sautéed Prawn Coated with Salted Egg and Crispy Fried Mushroom and more. Do not miss out the signature Roasted Peking Duck – prepared by master chef with traditional Beijing style and roasted for 40 minutes, the Peking Duck skin is crispy and the meat is tender with oily smell. Remember to savor with home-made pancakes, shallots, garlic paste, sweet soybean paste and cucumber to round out the tasty experience.

A Portuguese Wine Feast
Sofitel Macau has always been dedicated to curating Portuguese fine wines from family-owned vineyards that utilise traditional methods. Founded in 1901, Mouchão owns a 38-hectare vineyard in Alentejo and has a limited production of quality wines that use traditional winemaking techniques.
Available on 14 June, Privé is introducing “Portuguese Wine Feast”, which offers six courses of French delicacies paired with Mouchão wines. With Salmon Tartare with Beetroot and Avocado as the appetiser, guest can enjoy a glass of Dom Rafael White 2017, a white wine with a citrus and tropical fruit flavour that presents a perfect balance for the fatty salmon. Next up is Australian Wagyu Beef with Tender Vegetables and Wine Sauce paired with Dom Rafael Red 2015. Dom Rafael Red is produced from Alicante Bouschet, an indigenous red wine grape variety that gives a long-lasting fragrance of plum, dark chocolate, spice, and oak. As for Duck Confit with Mashed Potato and Mixed Vegetables, it is paired with Ponte Das Canas Red 2014, which possesses an intense aroma of ripe wild berries, tobacco and a full body with smooth and silky tannins. Slow-Cooked Rack of Lamb goes well with the flagship Mouchão Red 2003 / 2005, which is a combination of Alicante Bouschet and 15% Trincadeira, creating a complex and balanced aroma of tobacco, dark chocolate, and mint. Available only in tiny quantities, the fortified Mouchão Licoroso 2006 presents a perfect match for Mille-Feuille with Caramelized Banana, Vanilla Ice-Cream and Chocolate Sauce. Lastly, guests can prepare to be surprised by an Assorted Cheese Platter with Mouchão Aguardente 6 Anos, a Marc Brandy sourced from the best Alicante Bouschet and aged for six years.

Starting from 1 June to 31 August, So FIT at Sofitel Macau is introducing “Summer Splash and Fitness” gym membership package, which provides new and returning guests with access to the gym and the picturesque outdoor swimming pool.
