The greatly anticipated Melco Residency Concert Series presented by Melco Style – a three-year residency entertainment spectacle featuring a star studded line up of the biggest names in the Chinese music world with a collective of 90 performances is proudly announcing the 2nd edition at Studio City. Pop icon Leon Lai announces today his debut Melco Residency Concert Series ‘Leon Lai’s Stage On 8’ at Studio City Event Center starting from May 1 with a collective of 14 bespoke performances only available at Studio City for all Asia’s music enthusiast and superfans.
The LIVE in Asia’s First Ever Residency Concert Series brings together an incredible line up of A-list superstars from the Chinese music world for the limited-edition bespoke concert series offering unique top-notch performances in Asia exclusively for Melco. Since its opening, Studio City has hosted numerous dazzling concerts from international superstars, showcasing Studio City Event Center as a mecca for renowned vocal artists. The Melco Residency Concerts further affirms Melco’s determination to consistently promote the diversification and development in Macau by creating the unprecedented live entertainment experiences for Macau locals and visitors.

Dubbed one of the four “Heavenly Kings” of Cantopop, Leon Lai is a master of various musical genres and has delivered uncountable numbers of pop music masterpieces that are highly popular across Asia, including “Will You Come Tonight”, “Summer Romance”, “Not A Day Without Thinking of You” and “Just Love Me for One Day” and more. Seven years from his last performance at Studio City with ‘Leon Random Love Songs Live in Studio City 2016 Concert’, the pop icon will be staging at Studio City Event Center once again in May and June to perform a series of 14 shows for his Melco Residency Concert Series ‘Leon Lai’s Stage On 8’. Inspired by the iconic landmark of Studio City, Leon has intentionally applied ‘Golden Reel’ – the world's highest figure-8 Ferris wheel gondola ride as the concert’s namesake to identify the theming of his concert series that is exclusively dedicated and specially created for Melco. The concert will feature a brand-new production from stage design to show rundown that will only be available at Studio City Event Center, with the aim of delivering an extraordinary performance for all music fans to kick off their summer with the top-notch entertainment in Macau.
Leon, who had fun with his fans on the iconic landmark ‘Golden Reel’ at Studio City few years ago said, ‘It’s my pleasure to be back on stage at Studio City Event Center.
