Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) is pleased to announce the opening of Hua Ting on 26 March, presenting guests with an exquisite menu of authentic Huaiyang and Shanghainese dishes.

Hua Ting tempts guests on a delicious journey through the gastronomy of Shanghai City and Jiangsu Province, part of China's famed "land of fish and rice". Led by a genuine Yangzhou chef, Yan Yong Gang; Hua Ting delivers legendary Shanghainese dishes and refined Huaiyang delicacies based on traditional recipes and cooking methods. The menu features classic and contemporary favourites including Baby Duck braised with Eight Treasures in Traditional Shanghai Style; Pork Belly braised with Abalone and topped with Black Truffle; Shredded Bean Curd and Jinhua Ham stewed with Superior Chicken Broth; and Hand Cut Pork Ball double boiled in Superior Broth. Each dish and ingredient is specifically chosen for its freshness, exquisite artisanship, elegant presentation and rich cultural tones. To complete this exceptional gourmet experience, a selection of Chinese Baijiu, yellow wines, signature Hua Ting cocktails and mocktails are also on offer.

Hua Ting Chef Yan Yong Gang graduated from the Jiangsu Yangzhou Business Higher Vocational School with a culinary degree in 1993 and after, began working at one of the Yangzhou State Guest Houses, where he cooked Huaiyang and Shanghainese dishes for state banquets full time. He also won the name of “Jiangsu Culinary Master” in a 2002 national culinary competition. Travelling all over the world to prepare exquisite regional dishes for various heads of state, Chef Yan has represented the Jiangsu Province in many food exchanges including at Michelin starred restaurants in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Now in Macau, a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy, Chef Yan promises to promote authentic Huaiyang and Shanghai cuisine at Hua Ting.

Elegantly designed and harmoniously showcasing the blend of classic elements with innovative designs, Hua Ting is lined with soft tones of emerald green and gold, creating a modern yet retro dining environment. The enchanting blend of old-meets-new is manifested in the restaurant's main dining area as well as the semi-private dining rooms, reminiscent of Shanghai’s golden era of the 1920s and '30s. An environment that is private yet spacious, with nostalgic décor that beautifully complements the food, Hua Ting comes to life with the glamour of Shanghai's glory days.

Hua Ting is located on Level 2 of Grand Lisboa Palace, adjacent to Kid’s Cavern, and is open from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays). To make a reservation at Hua Ting, please call (853) 8881 1800.
