This November, the Terrace restaurant on Hotel Okura's 6th floor is delighted to offer 'French Oyster and Oscietra Caviar with Blinis.'  Traditionally, the term "caviar" refers to salt-cured fish eggs or "roe" that come from three types of wild sturgeon found in the Black Sea.  These are the Beluga, Osetra and Sevruga.  Nowadays, however, most caviar are farmed and not harvested in the wild.   Nevertheless, Caviar remains a delicacy that traces its history back to the ancient Greeks and Romans.  It has been coveted by kings and aristocracies since for its exquisite taste.  One of the most popular ways to eat caviar is topping on a "blini," which is a….    High quality caviar are not themselves salty, but the individual eggs in caviar when eaten will make pop and release a mild salty taste.  The distinctive flavor will fill one’s nose.   Caviar is also favored by the health-conscious due to it being rich in vitamins A, C, and E, all of which are known to promote a strong immune system.
