Celebrity Chef Series

Sands Lifestyle Presents the Next Gastronomic Event in its Celebrity Chef Series at Michelin Selected The Mews

Sands Lifestyle is renowned for hosting exceptional culinary events that showcase Macao’s distinction as a City of Gastronomy, including its Celebrity Chef Series. Next in the series is ‘Master Chef Collaboration: A Journey of Michelin Delights’ at one of The Londoner® Macao’s signature restaurants, Michelin Selected The Mews. Chef Nuch of The Mews willteam up with her mentor, Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn, also known as chef Ton, from October 10-12; limited seats are available each evening.

Chef Ton is one of the most in-demand chefs in Asia with a plethora of prestigious recognition including one Michelin star for his restaurant Le Du, which is currently number 12 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list and is also on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Two of his other noted restaurants include Nusara, which is Michelin Selected and is number 6 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list, and Lahnyai, also Michelin Selected and a World’s 50 Best Discovery Restaurant.

Chef Nuch previously worked for chef Ton at Lahnyai and diners attending The Mews dinners can expect to taste the natural synergy between the two chefs across 12 stellar courses. A highlight includes the first main course, grilled River prawn with prawn fat and mountain rice, an impressive signature dish from Le Du. It will be followed by a delectable dish created by both chefs, slow cooked Wagyu beef in a red curry sauce with fresh bamboo shootschakram leaves, lychee and tri-coloured Jasmine Rice – a hard-to-find curry with layered complexity, defined by herbs.

Both talented chefs share a similar passion for seasonal ingredients and a visionary approach to Royal Thai dishes, blending traditional elegance with contemporary innovation that reflects modern culinary trends. Over the three nights diners can look forward to a journey of authentic Thai cuisine that celebrates the past, while exploring the future.

The four-hands dinners are priced at MOP$2,588* per person with the option to add wine pairing selections including Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Hennessy Cognac. The collaborative menu from chef Ton and chef Nuch will also be available until Oct. 27, 2024.
