Cinematheque.Passion invites local innovative filmmakers to submit their recent works produced since 2017 for screening consideration at the “Local Indies Force” session of “Macao Films Panorama 2019”. Genres can vary from feature and documentary to animation. The festival takes place from 18 May to 1 June 2019. Submission is open now and closes on 8 March.

The last two editions of “Macao Films Panorama” saw many remarkable local productions, from features to shorts, being presented to the Macao audience. The “Local Indies Force” session successfully identified local talents and showcased their innovative storytelling and filming. Also in this regard Cinematheque.Passion plays a key role in connecting local voices and the audience.

Mr. Albert Chu, Artistic Director of the Cinematheque, comments, “this year sees the third edition of ‘Macao Films Panorama’. We are delighted to have presented local new works to Macao audience in the last two editions. Through the session ‘Local Indies Force’, the audience can gain deeper understanding of Macao cinema. We hope to encourage local independent filmmakers to take advantage of this opportunity to submit their works, therefore letting them be seen by the public.”

Submission for works that have been produced since 2017 is open. Those interested should submit their applications on or before 8 March 2019. For details, please visit Cinematheque’s website www.cinematheque-passion.mo.
