Rita Wong is passionate about film and culture. She has been working in art administration and marketing for over 10 years. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Cinematheque • Passion, and director of the Audio-Visual Association – CUT.
– What’s your idea of a perfect day?
Waking up in the morning, on a cool and sunny day, turning on the radio, and having breakfast at home prepared by mum. Hanging out with friends for a film and chit-chat after. Going home for dinner and preparing a meal for the next working day. My perfect day is just any other usual Sunday, I think.
– If you could go back in time to any event in history, what would it be?
The year I graduated from college, turning from full-time study to work – a very different stage of life.

My mum.
– What can always cheer you up when you are having a bad day?
A romance film (ha ha!)
– What’s your worst habit?
Sleeping in too late!
– If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Japanese instant noodles with sesame oil, which I used to eat as breakfast in my childhood.
– If you could retire tomorrow what would you do?
Sleep.
