The Fountainside, in the Penha Hill district, is a rare example in Macau of a sophisticated low-density residential building. A recently unveiled showpiece room demonstrates the potential of the apartments, now exclusively for sale.
When you walk the streets of the Penha Hill district, nearby Lilau Square, it’s possible to imagine going back in time to see how Macau once looked. Many traditional low-rise houses are still visible, and now, just next to them, there is an elegant modern building following and improving on that same style: The Fountainside.
The superb apartments of this 80,000 square feet freehold residential building are now exclusively for sale. Last September, buyers and visitors had the chance to measure the potential of these luxury residences, during a showcase done by The Fountainside managing company Bela Vista Property Services, in partnership with WH Furniture.
A specialist in furniture and design for hotels and residences in Macau, WH Furniture prepared a showpiece three-bedroom apartment, presenting an interior design concept comprising a contemporary style with distinctive Wall Art by Canadian designer Glen Meikle, who was also present.
“We are delighted to launch this first showpiece using a standard unit designed by WH Furniture,” said João Afonso, Director Bela Vista Property Services. “This partnership not only offers our residents an inviting lifestyle experience, it also supports our objective of providing comprehensive services to our clients”.
“It’s all about living with creativity, which is our business objective,” added Kelly Sou, Director of WH Furniture. “We selected a few antique pieces from our shop and added handmade re-creation art pieces to create a fun yet cozy atmosphere”.
Appointed by The Fountainside, WH Furniture will provide fitting out and decoration services for all residents upon request.
The showpiece attracted several media representatives and potential purchasers for a pleasant afternoon together with Portuguese style canapés and wines.
With its carefully retained Portuguese-style façade, The Fountainside is thoughtfully designed to incorporate modern utilities such as private garages, landscaped gardens, gym facilities and an eco-friendly green roof. All units use energy saving technology, including energy efficient LED lighting and air-conditioning systems. Double-glazing is fitted throughout, with shutters and architectural shading features built in to reduce heat from direct sunlight. The apartments are also equipped with leading branded appliances.
Aiming to cater to the increasing demand for premium homes in the city, The Fountainside offers all these amenities at Penha Hill, a prime neighbourhood right in the heart of Macau’s historical centre. Never leaving good taste aside, it is a rare residential complex generating a juxtaposition of modern living within a cultural heritage site.
