To officially mark the reopening of its flagship store at Shoppes at Venetian, the world-renowned Italian master jewellery brand Damiani held a grand opening ceremony and an exclusive VIP dinner on September 28. The forever elegant Italian star Sophia Loren, a very good friend of the Damiani family, flew to Macau for the occasion as the special officiating guest.
After the cocktail party, an exclusive VIP dinner took place at The Venetian Macao, featuring a jewellery show, and unveiling of the latest masterpieces of the Italian jeweller, and in particular the collection dedicated to Sophia Loren.
The Sophia Loren Collection by Damiani pays tribute to the beauty, charm, unique personality and extraordinary character of the movie legend and icon.
The delicate and well-characterised collection combines the softness of a circular design, the color of gold and the strength and pureness of diamonds, sparkling like the enchanting smile of Sophia Loren.
The most precious piece of the collection, the Sophia Loren Necklace, is an exquisite masterpiece in white gold with 1,352 amazing diamonds, in total 81 carats.
The collection also features necklaces, rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets and a brooch of timeless elegance.
The 1,050 square foot Damiani boutique at Shoppes at Venetian is the brand’s main flagship boutique in Macau. The atmosphere of the Mediterranean was the inspiration for the boutique, reflected in its warm and intense shades of natural tones – bronze, gold and brass – recalling spectacular sunsets in the Italian islands. The project was devised and developed in-house by an all-Italian creative team, including furnishings that were designed and made in Italy.
