High-Flying Nitro Circus at The Venetian Macao

by

The gravity-defying Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus Live performed a thrilling, heart-pulsing action sports show Saturday evening at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena, with a second show on Sunday afternoon.

Nitro Circus Live showcases over 40 of the world’s best action sports athletes performing daring and often record-breaking tricks in freestyle motocross, BMX and skateboarding, along with heart-stopping stunts on unique contraptions rarely attempted outside of the Nitro Circus family. The performances at The Venetian Macao saw the world’s best action sports athletes pushing their limits and skill on skates, scooters and a range of unorthodox conveyances, including a drink cooler, Barbie car, toy trike, shopping trolley, boogie board and many more, to the delight and amazement of Macao audiences.

With high-flying synchronised bike tricks performed to pyrotechnics, seemingly impossible stunts, and jaw-dropping feats that make Evel Knievel look tame, Saturday evening’s live show kept audience members on the edge of their seats. As if it isn’t difficult enough launching a motorcycle off a ramp and sailing through the air 75 feet off the ground, these daredevils performed mid-air acrobatic manoeuvres, summersaulting their bikes, swinging their legs off to the side, and changing position, all with precision-perfect timing before landing safely on the ground.

Founded by Travis Pastrana, Gregg Godfrey and Jeremy Rawle, the Nitro Circus brand has enjoyed a rapid rise to global popularity, started by the innovative DVD series featuring Travis and friends performing outrageous stunts on a range of crazy contraptions. Its debut Australian tour became the highest grossing action sports show in Australian history with almost 120,000 tickets sold.
