The First Macau Italian Wine & Dine

The Macau Italian Wine & Dine, taking place at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) on November 27, includes two “masterclasses”, a food and wine pairing event from 18:00 to 22:00, and is followed by an after-party.
The Macau Italian Wine & Dine, taking place at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) on November 27, includes two “masterclasses”, a food and wine pairing event from 18:00 to 22:00, and is followed by an after-party. The Italian gourmet event of the year in Macau is co-organized by Grand Lisboa Palace, the Wine Society of Macau, and DOC DMC Macau event agency, with the aim to promote the Italian culinary culture within the local community.
 
 
The Macau Italian Wine & Dine and its carefully curated events are designed to offer an enriching dining experience, where the participants can observe authentic Italian cooking methods and witness a fragment of the Italians' culinary habits without ever having to leave Macau. The Macau Italian Wine & Dine is part of the World Week of Italian Cuisine – an initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – and is interrelated with Italia MIA Festival, a project launched in 2019 by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong that intends to celebrate the richness of Italian culture and its varied culinary heritage.
 
 
 
Along with some of the most popular and symbolic Italian dishes, the event will feature a series of eighteen high-quality wines from well-known wine producers. Among the most notable names are Gaja, Frescobaldi, Banfi, De Stefani and Pio Cesare; all available to be tasted by the glass exclusively on the occasion of the event. The highlight of the Macau Italian Wine & Dine will be the “Italian Cooking Demonstration – White Truffle Risotto” that will be held on the same day from 16:30 to 17:30. The participants will have the unique opportunity to watch and learn how to prepare two of the most popular Italian dishes. Chef Federico Pucci will show, step-by-step, how to prepare a delicious Vitello Tonnato and will reveal how to properly cook a risotto. The highly valuable and extraordinary white truffle from Italy will be shaved on top of the risotto and served to those who participate in the cooking demonstration.
 
 
The “Italian Wine Masterclass – Banfi, the Builders of Brunello” will be held from 17:00 to 18:00 and include the tasting of four outstanding Banfi wines. It will be conducted by Mr. Paolo Fassina, the Area Manager for Banfi in North-East Asia, who will elaborate on the crucial role that Banfi had in the growth and recognition of Brunello di Montalcino as one of the most emblematic wines of Italy.
 
 
To round off the evening, guests may stay to enjoy an “After-Party” with 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s dance music from 22:00 to 02:00.

Tickets for the Macau Italian Wine & Dine are available at MOP600 per person and include wine tokens, unlimited food and entrance to the after-party. The tickets for each of the Masterclasses cost MOP250 per person or MOP 100 per person if purchased together with the ticket of the main event.
 
 
The number of tokens included in a ticket varies from 8 to 12. The tokens are worth MOP20 each and they can be used to redeem wines and other drinks. All the wines can be purchased and tasted by the glass using tokens.
