The Manor at The St. Regis Macao is pleased to present ‘The Connoisseur’s Table — The Macallan Whisky Dinner with Edrington’, a special one-night event as part of the exquisite and recurring dinner series – The Connoisseur’s Table. In cooperation with Edrington, parent company of renowned The Macallan, The Manor will showcase a selection of their premium single malt whiskies that are paired with a meticulous menu crafted by Executive Sous Chef Michele Dell’Aquila.

 

The Connoisseur’s Table – The Macallan Whisky Dinner will take place on September 30, 2022 and treat guests to an exquisite five-course dinner. Led by Whisky Ambassador, Bruno Santos, four exemplary bottles from The Macallan will be highlighted during the event while guests savor the distinctive seasonal dishes curated by Chef Michele.

 

Menu highlights include the smoked Hokkaido sea scallop tartar, marinated with sea salt and cushioned with a cauliflower and almond milk panna cotta, to enhance the freshness and sweet flavor of the tartar. This intricately sweet and smoky dish is a beautiful complement to The Macallan Double Cask 12 years, adding a layer of dried fruit and smooth texture to the flavor profile.

 

A notable main is the flavorful and tasty Challandais duck with caramelized onion and visciole sauce. The sweet and sour cherry sauce combined with chocolate enriches the vibrancy of the duck and reduces the oiliness. This combination of the visciole sauce and The Macallan Double Cask 18 year’s chocolate and butterscotch aromas offer a scrumptious touch to the dish.

 

To conclude the sensational whisky experience, Chef Michele has created the Sacher Domori 72% Venezuela, composed of coffee and whisky sabayon, garnished with caramelia ice cream, and chocolate sauce. The rich dessert is paired with The Macallan Rare Cask 2022, the latest release from The Macallan and new to the Macao market, and is celebrated as a premium release this year. It is full of intensely sweet raisin notes coupled with an incredibly full-bodied and smooth complexity.

 

‘The Connoisseur’s Table — The Macallan Whisky Dinner with Edrington’ event on September 30, 2022 will take place from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. In addition, guests who wish to try the special The Macallan Whisky Dinner menu at The Manor will have the chance to do so until October 9, 2022. Both the event and limited-time dinner menu are priced at MOP1,888+ per person.
