The Manor is celebrating the world’s finest produce with a series of specially crafted a la carte dining and wine dinner menus, showcasing the best ingredients and wines of France, Italy and the United States.
Beginning with ‘A Celebration of Fine Produce’ during May and in conjunction with the ‘French GourMay’ Festival that celebrates gastronomy à la française, guests can indulge all month long with the absolute finest ingredients that gives French cuisine it’s irrefutable position at the forefront of worldwide culinary excellence.
The ‘A Celebration of Fine Produce – French GourMay wine dinner’ menu treats guests to a six-course degustation of dishes created specifically to showcase the highest quality providence from the land and seas of France, as well as a matched wine selection that enhances the flavors of each dish while paying homage to France’s remarkable wine heritage.
The Manor’s Executive Sous Chef Michele Dell’Aquila said France is renowned as one of the world’s most sought-after sources of the finest food and produce, and this special menu celebrates that hard-earned reputation.
“French cuisine has long set the standard for world cuisine and bases itself on the principle of refined presentation of the best ingredients on offer – and that is what this menu is all about,” Chef Michele said.
“This Celebration menu honors French culinary tradition as well as continuing The Manor’s mission of allowing the highest quality ingredients to shine through as the star of the dish.”
A Celebration of Fine Produce – French GourMay wine dinner includes seared foie gras from Strasbourg served with fig and pear salad, Brittany lobster with fennel, Loire Valley asparagus, crab and bouillabase, and tender French Turbot with Jerusalem artichoke purée, mushrooms and white butter dressing.
At its best in spring, Aveyron Lamb – Agneau de l'Aveyron – are rare breed lambs born and reared in Aveyron in the plateaus of south western in France, resulting in delicate meat that is rose-pink and tender, then served with our signature potato mille-feuille and the freshest spring vegetables.
For a perfect finish, a selection of ‘Les Freres Merchand’ cheeses and a Valrhona chocolate manjari complete the dining experience.
The wine pairing, carefully curated by in-house Sommelier David Duan, draws inspiration from the geographical source of much of the dining menu, and features wines from France’s most famous wine regions including Champagne, Alsace, Loire Valley, Burgundy and Bordeaux.
Priced at MOP1288+, the Celebration of Fine Produce – French GourMay wine dinner is will take place on May 7, followed by celebration wine dinners of Italy on June 4 and the United States on July 2. Dishes showcasing the finest ingredients of all three countries are available dinner daily until July 31.
