Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau Officially Opens its Doors

The highly-anticipated Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, developed by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) in Cotai, officially opens its doors to the public on July 30. The integrated resort, representing an investment of approximately HKD39 billion, is a milestone project for SJM, presenting Macau’s historical traditions and cultural interchange of East and West. A Chinese Bai Sun blessing ceremony was held to celebrate the opening.

The occasion was officiated by SJM’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Ms. Daisy Ho; Managing Director Ms. Angela Leong; Directors Dr. Ambrose So, Ms. Maisy Ho and Mr. Arnaldo Ho. They were joined by management representatives of SJM and Grand Lisboa Palace, as they performed the Bai Sun rituals of cutting the pig and dotting the eyes of the lions, and wished for good fortune and success while welcoming guests to enjoy the resort.
 
 
 
Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, the new integrated resort by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) in Cotai, announced that it open its doors to the public in a phased manner at 12 noon on 30 July 2021. The first phase will see the lavish integrated resort welcoming guests to the flagship Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, the largest of its three hotel towers, as well as a variety of enticing dining options and wellness facilities, and stunning event spaces.
 
 
 
With luxurious accommodation and outstanding leisure facilities, Grand Lisboa Palace promises to be an experience in grandeur. It celebrates the coming together of the best of two worlds – the enchanting essence of the East and West. Inspired by the monumental European buildings of the Neoclassical to Belle Époque periods and traditional Chinese motifs, the Resort honours the legendary, cross-cultural heritage of Macau.
