Morton’s The Steakhouse at Venetian is offering new prepare-at-home menus recently.

One of the most popular passtimes in Macau, eating out at great restaurants, has been much more difficult to do over the past few months. And while things seem to be returning to some degree of normality, many people are still choosing to social distance and avoid large, crowded restaurants. But that choice doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy delicious restaurant quality food, especially with the new prepare-at-home menus recently launched and currently on offer from Morton’s The Steakhouse at Venetian.

The various take-home menu packages are designed to be very simple and easy to cook in any typical Macau kitchen, even for the most beginner home chefs, while still being full of all the amazing flavours that you would expect from a Morton’s meal.

“Many people are concerned about leaving home to go to restaurants in the current environment and we wanted to be able to make sure people can still enjoy Morton’s quality of food, but in their home environment,” says David Martin – Regional Director of Operations, Asia. “This is a new idea which is based around recent increase in demand for take-away and delivery menus. It’s been very well received in the markets since we have launched and many guests have even become repeat users of the service. It’s particularly popular with our most loyal regular guests.”

Four different menu options are available, depending on your steak preferences and the size of your gathering. The Table for Two package comes with two 6oz pieces of Center-Cut Filet Mignon, plus a duo of lobster tails. Side options include Grilled Jumbo Asparagus or Sautéed Button Mushrooms, or Morton’s renowned Mashed Potatoes. Finally, the meal is capped off with a delicious dessert of Double Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Whipped Cream and Berries. Pairs who prefer to dine sharing-style can enjoy the same feast, but swap their filets for a 16oz Center-Cut Prime Ribeye which is perfect for two.

Families can take advantage of two Ultimate Grill packages, ideal for groups of up to eight people, offering four 6oz Center-Cut Filet Mignons, two 16oz Center-Cut Prime Ribeye steaks, as well as two signature 10oz Prime New York Strips, two juicy lobster tails, together with a range of generously sized side dishes and desserts. Smaller families can opt to feed a party of four to five persons for only, with a set that includes two 6oz Center-Cut Filet Mignon steaks, one 16oz Center-Cut Prime Ribeye, one 10oz Prime New York Strip, two lobster tails, a pair of sides and, of course, a decadent dessert to end the evening.

All the options feature Morton’s signature seasoning and house-made au jus, plus a generous portion of crisp Chef’s House Salad, with a combination of Iceberg and Romaine Lettuce, Fresh Tomatoes, Sliced Cucumber, Homemade Croutons and your choice of Morton’s Blue Cheese Dressing or Red Wine Vinaigrette. And just in case you are not entirely confident with your skills in the kitchen, comprehensive cooking instructions are included with each take-out meal.

These new prepare-at-home packages are just a part of the restaurant’s strategy for being innovative and adapting to the new challenges in the local F&B market this year.

“There have been many challenges over the last couple of months and we, like everyone else have had to rise to those challenges and look at our business in new and different ways. I think it’s safe to say the food and beverage industry will never be the same again, and the virus will continue to affect the way all restaurants oper- ate for a long time going forward,” notes David Martin.

“I think these new packages are all part of the new order of the restaurant business, and how we can ensure as many people as possible can experience Morton’s cuisine in the environment that is most suited to them, either at home or in the restaurant. It’s a great opportunity to reach new guests and redefine what a dining experience is to many people.”

It certainly hasn’t been the start to 2020 that restau- rateurs were hoping for, but nonetheless, David is still optimistic about the rest of the year.

“We think it will take time, but believe that Macau is positioned well to see a continued increase in visi- tors due to a proactive government and society that has handled the situation extremely well. We are very grate- ful that we have been doing business in Macau and Asia for a long time and have managed to build up a loyal local guest base. With such a strong brand, Morton’s is able to offer the security of hygiene and product quali- ty to guests and we will see the benefit of having those high standards.”
