In response to the current novel coronavirus outbreak across China, Tak Chun Group reacted in a timely manner and implemented infection prevention and control measures, secured surgical masks and relevant materials extensively to help fight against its further spread. With the assistance of “Central People’s Government Liaison Office in the Macao Special Administrative Region”, Tak Chun Group donates a total of 20 million Hong Kong dollars and 200 thousand surgical masks to the communities in need. Out of the 200 thousand surgical masks, 100 thousand masks will be delivered to Hubei Province, China and the other 100 thousand masks will be provided to Macau Special Administrative Region Government in support for local epidemic prevention work.
Staying true to their vision of creating economic value and giving back to the communities as a sustainable business, Tak Chun group is making the donation as a humble contribution to the fight against the coronavirus spread. The donation of 20 million Hong Kong Dollars and 100 thousand surgical masks will be provided to Hubei Province through “Hubei Charity Association”. It will be used on the purchase of medical equipment, anti-epidemic materials and subsidies for those in need and surgical masks will effectively support front-line healthcare workers. By way of this sincere donation, Tak Chun Group would like to express their utmost respect and gratitude to all the front-line healthcare workers for their contributions and efforts, and our condolences and blessings to the infected patients by means of this patriotic donation.
Tak Chun Group and Tak Chun Charity Association are committed to support all prevention and control measures against the coronavirus infection as instructed by the government, closely monitor the evolving situation, and plan their precaution as well as recovery initiatives accordingly. In line with the appeal from the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Ho Iat Seng, Tak Chun Group has granted 15 days of special paid leave for their local employees. Besides, all marketing activities are postponed until further notice.
