Saroj was born in India and moved to the United States with her family as a child. She grew up in Florida and received most of her education there. Saroj has a master’s degree in Educational Psychology. She enjoys singing, dancing and painting. Her two children, son Milan and daughter Mala are both studying in America. Last year she moved to Macau with her husband Nirmalya and joined the International Ladies Club of Macau (ILCM). She is currently the president of the ILCM and enjoys the work they are doing to serve the needy in the Macau community.
– Whatís your idea of a perfect day?
My perfect day would be spending time with my family and friends.
– If you could go back in time to any event in history, what would it be?
Two events in US history come to mind: one is end of slavery and the other was when women were first allowed to vote. I would like to go back in history to be part of those great moments as both were very exciting events.

A Tale of Two Cities。。。。.
– And your favorite singer/ band?
Elvis Presley and the Beatles。.
– Who is your hero?
Mahatma Gandhi。。。.
– What can always cheer you up when you are having a bad day?
Good music.
– Whatís your worst habit?
Thinking too much about things.
– If you could retire tomorrow what would you do?
Paint, sing and travel.
– Whatís your favourite season or festival?
I like all festivals like Thanksgiving, Diwali and Christmas when you get to enjoy them with friends and family.
– Whatís your favourite place in Macau?
I love Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul’s.
