In her free time, she enjoys exploring a new culture, creating amazing friendships, and attempting to make pie in her toaster oven.

– What’s your idea of a perfect day?
My perfect day would be spent at my family’s farm in South Dakota, USA with my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. The sun would be shining and it would be a day to enjoy all the laughs and happiness that comes with spending time with my family. Baking with my mom and sister, going on a tour of the pastures with my dad, and playing card games with my brother. The perfect ending to the day would include a campfire and cooking s’mores under the brightest stars.

If you could go back in time to any event in history, what would it be?
I would want to go to the Yankee Baseball Stadium in Brooklyn, New York on July 4th, 1939, to be present when Lou Gehrig gave his speech – “Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad break I got. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.” I am a huge baseball fan and get goose bumps just thinking about it.

– What’s your favorite book?
Anything I can get my hands on written by Liane Moriarty, an Australian fiction author. She is best known for her novels Big Little Lies, and The Husband’s Secret.

– And your favorite singer/ band?
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros- I have to dance whenever
I hear their song entitled, Home.

– Who is your hero?
My mother, Suzie Ogren is my hero. Before having children, she worked as a nurse in a hospital and I think that all nurses are super heroes. My mother installed in me the importance of family, she creates a community filled with love and I hope to be as amazing as my mother one day.

– What can always cheer you up when you are having a bad day?
A Skype call with my family back in the US can always brighten my day. If that doesn’t work, then coffee with my best friend and visiting her dogs, Fonzi and Lady for some extra love!

– What’s your worst habit?
Binge watching Netflix shows.

– If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pie. I have a sweet tooth and love any flavor of pie- cherry, coconut cream, lemon meringue, yum!

– If you could retire tomorrow what would you do?
I would travel the world with my husband! I am so fortunate that we have been able to see so many places while living here in Macau. I am hoping to get to New Zealand and Australia this next year!

– What’s your favourite place in Macau?
La Gondola Restaurant down at Cheoc Van Beach – being able to enjoy a nice meal outside with the sound of the water is always a nice treat on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
