Leong Ka Hang graduated from Instituto Salesiano and received a bachelor degree from the University of Macau, however he had dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player since a young age. He has now been playing for several local and Hong Kong soccer clubs since 2009, as well as representing Macau in regional and international matches. In 2011, he won his first “Macau Footballer of the Year” title at the age of just 18 and reclaimed the title again in 2013. He is currently playing for the Hong Kong Pegasus FC. His dream is to keep training, playing and improving so that one day he can compete in higher level championships.
– What is your idea of a perfect day?
My perfect day is to spend time with family after training.
– If you could go back in time to any event in history, what would it be?
I would choose to go back to 2011 because I was not suffering from injuries at that time and all my teammates were studying. We could play soccer anytime we wanted without any worries.
– What is your favorite book?
Lately I am addicted to reading books about psychology.
– And your favorite singer/ band?
I don’t favour a particular singer or band, but like the genre of electrical music very much.
– Who is your hero?
I think it’s my family because they support me no matter what.
– What can always cheer you up when you are having a bad day?
I can’t think of anything except playing soccer and exercising.
– What is your worst habit?
It think it has to be not being punctual. I have been bad at this since I was young.
– If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I would choose Thai cuisine.
– If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?
I would immediately go travelling around the world.
– What is your favorite season or festival?
My favorite season is winter.
– What is your favorite place in Macau?
Rua do Cunha in Taipa, because I used to play there as a kid. I have so many childhood memories there.
