Born in 1991, Kay is an artist and art teacher living in Macau. In 2014, she graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Chongqing, China and received her B.A in Fine Arts, Majoring in Painting. In 2017, she graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China and received her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. Kay has worked as a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, University of Macau and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China.
In 2016, Kay had her first solo exhibition Innocencepedia at Macau Art Garden, run by Art For All Society. It was the first exhibition of this artistic landmark in the city. She is currently holding her second solo exhibition in Macau Art Garden, entitled Daddy… – Works by Kay Zhang which is inspired by her favourite poet Sylvia Plath’s poem Daddy… and is on display from July 9 to August 2.

A sunny day with my phone switched off.

I don’t really want to go back in time,
I like the era we are living in now.
