Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau is celebrating its partnership with Amagao Gallery and presenting the Second Anniversary of Amagao Gallery: YEAR 2 Exhibition. A total of 34 works by Macau-based artists are being presented in the exhibition, which is dedicated to the art and artists of Macau and the Portuguese-speaking world, bringing together works by the gallery’s regular collaborators, and showcasing a range of paintings, photography and other mixed media.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony at the end of March March was officiated by distinguished guests, including Mr. Alexandre Leitão, Consul-General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, and Ms. Lina Ramadas and Mr. Victor Hugo Marreiros, Managing Partners of Amagao Gallery.
Reflecting on this milestone, Mr. José I. Duarte, also a Managing Partner of Amagao Gallery, expressed his continued commitment to elevating the gallery’s position in the local art market.
“The partners reaffirm their commitment to making this gallery a point of reference in the local art market and promoting both local artists and art from the Portuguese-speaking world,” he remarked.
Mr. Rutger Verschuren, Area Vice President, Macau Operations for Artyzen Hospitality Group and General Manager of Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, added:
“After two years, including navigating through the challenges posed by the pandemic, we have witnessed a growing interest in local and regional art. We will continue our collaboration with Amagao Gallery to present captivating art pieces, enriching the experience of our guests showcasing diverse forms of art from local and international artists, while infusing art into our daily hotel operations and thus creating unique “Artyzen” experience.”
