AMAGAO Gallery has launched its first exhibition of the year, Good Time, a vibrant showcase of creativity featuring 32 distinguished artists from 12 different countriesand regions, including Brazil, China, France, Guinea-Bissau, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Macau, Portugal, São Tomé andPríncipe, Thailand and the United States of America.

The opening ceremony, held at AMAGAO Gallery in the lobby of Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, brought together artenthusiasts, media, and distinguished guests to celebrate this extraordinary display of international artistry.
Drawing inspiration from a Southern Song Dynasty poem, Good Time reflects a sense of serenity and gratitude for life’s seasons: ‘In spring there are all sorts of flowers, in autumn there is moon; summer has cool breezes, and snow in winter. When there is nothing to worry in mind, that is a good season in this human life.’
The exhibition invites visitors to slow down, appreciate the art, and find tranquillity in its diverse ‘garden’ of creative expressions. The collection features 38 pieces, spanning various mediums and styles, showcasing the profound human connection to art as a means of self-expression and fulfilment.
AMAGAO Gallery offers this exhibition as a New Year’s gift to the community, emphasizing art’s ability to foster peacefulness and harmony.
Reflecting on the opening, Ms. Joey Ho Chong I, invited curator by AMAGAO Gallery, shared: “As long as you slow down and appreciate the works, you can enjoy the good time shared by the artists.”
Mr. Rutger Verschuren, Area Vice President of Macau and Hengqin for Artyzen Hospitality Group and General Manager of Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, added: “The collaboration between Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau and AMAGAO Gallery continues to offer unparalleled opportunities for artistic exchanges. Good Time is a stunning reflection of how art can unite us and enrich our experiences, marking a meaningful start to the year.”
Guests visiting the exhibition are encouraged to explore at their own pace, connecting with the works to experience the tranquillity and harmony they embody. Art pieces can be bought at attractive prices to continue enjoyment at home or at the work place.
Adding to the celebration of creativity, Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau’s Cake Shop has introduced the Recreation of The Macau Cake, a distinctive collaboration between AMAGAO Gallery and the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, Fredrick Sui. At the heart of this specialty cake is an edible map of historical Macau, crafted entirely from white chocolate. This intricate art piece reimagines Macau’s charm in its early days, highlighting landmarks like the Border Gate, Penha Hill, and Guia Lighthouse. Chef Sui complements this artistic centrepiece with a bronzegolden cake, resembling a jewellery box, symbolizing wealth and prosperity in Eastern culture. The cake’s rich flavours include crystal pear, Madagascar vanilla pod, Valrhona Jivara milk chocolate, candied chestnuts, and roasted hazelnut praline. Each bite delivers a delightful harmony of textures and tastes, celebrating the essence of East-meets-West.
