The 9th edition of Le French GourMay, the gastronomic celebration of Le French May, presented by UnionPay and organised by Business France in Hong Kong, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Le French May in Hong Kong and Macau with a focus on everyone’ favourite, Champagne.
Last month at Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel, the Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau Mr. Eric Berti delivered an opening speech at the Le French GourMay press conference, together with the honorable presence of Thibaut Le Mailloux, Communication Director of Comité Champagne.
During the whole month of May this year, more than 220 partners – Michelin-starred chefs, restaurants, as well as wine importers and distributors in Hong Kong and Macau – will join hands to honour Le FrenchGourMay 2017 by offering
dedicated menus to match with Champagne, wine tastings, promotions and workshops. Altogether, the event will feature 12 workshops and partner with 120 restaurants, 93 shops and 56 importers.
Being an important part of Le French May since 2009, Le French GourMay has been celebrating and promoting French food and wine culture in Hong Kong and Macau. Thanks to a strong communication and involvement of the gourmet community, it has become in a few years a major food and wine festival. Every year in May, Le French GourMay presents a different region (Midi-Pyrénées, Rhone Valley, Provence, Burgundy, Bordeaux etc.), introducing and encouraging people to experience the dining culture in French style and taking them on an authentic French gastronomic journey through a network of more than 200 local partners.
